MX310 Product Tour

This Office All-In-One can achieve up to Super G3 fax speed in color and B&W. View larger.

Quality Canon Inks
You'll love the quality and convenience
of Canon inks. One ink cartridge contains three high-intensity
dye-based color inks for rich photos and graphics; the other
contains a pigment black ink for clear, laser-quality text. These two cartridges are a snap to use, and easy to replace as needed.

Four High-Performance Ink Tanks
Powering up your printer is now much faster than previous generations. After pressing the Power button, you can begin inputting commands in as little as 5 seconds.

Quick Start
For extra productivity in the home or small office, you'll be able to produce up to 30 ppm black / up to 20 ppm color. You can also print a superb 4 x 6 inch borderless print in only about 46 seconds.

Auto Image Fix
The built-in Auto Image Fix feature helps you produce amazing results on all your photos. First, it categorizes your images into one of five types - Portrait, Scenery, Night Scenery, Snapshot with Scenery, and Snapshot with Night Scenery - then applies optimal image correction accordingly. For example, it will automatically brighten faces that are backlit and underexposed, and correct color cast to help ensure more accurate skin tones.

Automatic Document Feeder
The built-in Automatic Document Feeder (ADF) holds up to 30 originals, so it's faster and easier to copy, scan or fax your larger documents.

1 out of 5 stars Worst Design Ever for Replacing Cartridges   November 13, 2008
Xochimilco, Esq.
This printer is the worst ever for replacing ink cartridges. The cartridges USUALLY do not engage properly, and then you have to try over and over and over again before the printer takes hold of them. Unless you want to waste a lot of time replacing ink cartridges, don't buy this printer. Canon should be ashamed.

5 out of 5 stars Great printer   November 10, 2008
L. Davis (Florida, USA)
This is a great printer for the money. Set up and installation instructions were easy to understand. The print quality is clear and the fax and scan functions are easy to use. Very happy with this purchase.

5 out of 5 stars Great personal printer   November 3, 2008
A. Gomez (Miami)
Brought the MX310 to print webpages and personal documents. The document feeder & fax have been a pleasant bonus. I read some good reviews about Cannon printers before I brought. My results do show better & faster printouts than other printers I've owned.

5 out of 5 stars An Excellent Printer for the Price   October 31, 2008

I picked up the MX310 yesterday at Costco for $80. This is my first Canon. I chose Canon because they always came out on top in Consumer Reports. Setting it up was straight forward using the large set-up sheet. This is a super fast printer and the quality is the best I've seen. I made a copy of a form with both B & W and color and could not tell the difference. My old HP 2410 hit old age and what a difference 4 years makes in technology. The 310 is actually bigger than I thought it would be, so it takes up alot of room on the desktop. After turning off the volume for all the beeps, I'm a happy camper. I also checked the Canon Web Site for any updates and there is one (Aug 2008) firmware update that sounds like it fixes any problem with the fax tone interrupting telephone calls. The update isn't necessary for the printer with my serial number. We've used our phone several times since yesterday without a problem. I would have preferred a paper try rather than the paper sticking up in the back, but other than that no complaints.
