5 out of 5 stars Why doesn't Wacom include this pen and people can buy the fat grip if they want? >:/   November 18, 2008

I don't know if it's a good or bad thing that my very first tablet was a wacom 4"x5" intuos (1) way back when. So when I bought a huge non wacom tablet ...got rid of that within days and bought a intuos 3 6x8. And the cheap brand tablet and this intuos 3 came with these fat marker size pens that I just can't get used to. I wonder if I never had the original pen if I would have disliked the new fat grip pens so much...I'll never know. So for months i put up with using the fat grip pen =/

Anyways, so recently i purchased a Cintiq 12" and love it! And felt hell if I'm spending like $1,000(US) for this tablet I might as well treat myself to a classic pen! and yep now that I have it is is exactly like the wacom intuos GD pen I had a decade ago =) I'm very very tempted to even buy 1-2 more! (I probably will infact) because I like how Corel Painter remembers each different pen and you can pretend you're using real media and even put a different tip on each one (right now I got 2 fat pens, one from my intuos 3 and one that my cintiq12wx came with and this classic pen .. but I only use the classic pen) but none of my other programs remembers each pen type =/

Anyways, just as advertised this is the original pen! That we all love (if you ever had it)! I'm going to buy 2 more now after typing all this lol.

5 out of 5 stars Nicer than the included pen   July 18, 2008

The pen that comes with Intuos3 tablets is nice, but it's big, especially for someone with small hands. This pen is maybe about the size of a regular rollerball pen, and is nicer to use. It has all the other features (eraser, rocker switch) of the included pen too. It comes with a pen stand that's a little more aesthetically attractive, too.

5 out of 5 stars Slimmer than the supplied pen   June 8, 2008

Happy I bought this when the Bamboo pen someone thought would work didn't. It's more comfortable.

5 out of 5 stars The perfect gift for the computer artist   March 21, 2008
    Amy P. Wise (Texas)
Personally, I don't know one graphic program from another; love that cut and paste. However, my daughter and daughter-in-law do! My d-in-l had this on her Wish List so I sent it. It was delivered on time for her birthday and she called me immediately to tell me it was exactly what she wanted. She reported the quality was exceptional and easy to use.

This is the third WACOM product INTUOS3 Classic Pen that we've purchased from Amazon.com and we will continue to use their services.

4 out of 5 stars Less like a "stylus" more like a "pen"   February 15, 2008
    B. Crawford (L.A.)
Not that there's really anything wrong with the original grip pen that comes with the Intuos3, but sometimes it can feel a little clumsy or unnatural. That's where this little guy comes in. It basically has the same functions as the original pen except that it's slimmer, lighter and more like a real-world pen that one might be accustomed to.

I have this along with the 6D pen which is generally less useful, but great for Painter X.
