Takes Time November 12, 2008 D. Kennedy This is a little more complicated and time-consuming that we thought it would be. However, we have not used it a lot and will have a better idea near the end of the year when we do our taxes.
Neat Receipts November 11, 2008 A. Marton (MN, USA) I love this thing! One of the best inventions ever. No need to keep receipts all over the place. Scan them and file them by category. Can sort your stuff for you as well. No more excuses to be disorganized.
The best Neatreceipt version EVER! November 7, 2008 Jose M. Castello This is so much better than the new version. I bought the 4.0 new version for $80 more, and it turned out to be much slower than this one! I'm keeping this one without a doubt, so easy to use, so fast and so small and portable!
Driver crashes Acrobat 8.2 Pro October 27, 2008 Carl Hagglund (Pendleton, OR USA) 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
If you plan to use with bundled Neat Receipts software this scanner seems functional. We are a small business that has gone paperless and purchased this scanner for mobile use primarily with small/short document uses in office. The scanner is not compatible with Acrobat 8.2 pro using latest drivers available on Neat site. Acrobat recognizes scanner, allows scanner setup, then when scan is commenced Acrobat freezes and then closes. I went so far as to download latest drivers from hardware manufactures site, (Plusteck Opticslim 12) to try WIA driver and their TWAIN. I would not recommend this scanner for Windows Vista Acrobat users.
Love it! October 8, 2008 B. Holland 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I purchased this from costco, installed it in about 15 minutes. Program is super easy to run, very intuitive. I am using the product for my small business to do away with all the paper that accumulates. I loved this version so much, I purchased the 4.0 upgrade yesterday and within three hours gave up on the 4.0, uninstalled it and went back to the 3.0 version. The 3.0 version is much easier and faster to use. You can scan multiple pages for one receipt, not so on the 4.0 version. The 4.0 version was cumbersome, not as intuitive and much slower from scan to file. I will happily stay with the 3.0 version.
