After you're done scanning, the text can be transferred to a computer whenever convenient. You can also scan directly into any Windows-based application. The TS Elite has both USB and IrDA connectivity.

The InfoScan scans at 400 DPI and can recognize a wide range of font types and sizes (6-22 points, up to 8mm), as well as various color schemes including inverted text on colored backgrounds (with the exceptions of red on white, white on red, blue on black, and black on blue.)

Portable, Intuitive Design The TS Elite features a large touch-screen display that uses icon-based menus, so navigation is a cinch. A virtual keyboard is available for editing scanned text or adding words manually, and it also features a five-way navigation button.

The InfoScan TS Elite measures just 7 x 1.6 x 0.3-inches (WxHxD) and weighs less than four ounces, making it small enough to easily to throw into a purse or pocket. A smart shut-off feature powers the scanner down when not in use to preserve battery life.

The Wizcom InfoScan TS Elite runs on two AAA batteries (not included) or via the USB bus when connected directly to a computer, and requires Windows NT/98/2000/XP/Vista, a CD-ROM drive, and a free USB port. It is backed by a two-year warranty.
