Works Well, Good Quality! Recommended December 9, 2008 CFH (Blue Ridge Summit, PA USA) The "Microsoft LifeCam VX-3000" is a great little webcam that installs fairly quickly (on my Vista PC) and provides good video and audio quality. This webcam was very easy to install and setup, taking less than a half hour so before I was able to make my first test shots. The automatic recognition by Windows Live Messenger was great and did not require any additional settings. The video quality is good for web and video chatting, but I wouldn't use it for taking photos that are to be printed. The audio is also good for video chatting, but not much else. This is a good solid webcam that performs better than expected! Recommended!
Great price, great webcam December 9, 2008 Wondergirl517 (San Diego, CA United States) I bought this product several months ago for $49.99. It was a steal at that price since 1 webcam runs for anywhere from $35-$80 at Bestbuy depending on the quality. This combo has some cool features such as the call live which links to MSN website. It has a microphone with it which is an added bonus. I can sit conveniently on top of any monitor or desktop. It can easily be focused simply by turning the lens. It has a 1.3 megapixel digital camera in it to take some still pictures. It also has a cute feature where you can put animation characters above your head such as stars, snow, clouds, falling leaves etc. Overall, this is a very good webcam. It is a perfect gift or for those families who want to keep in touch with each other constantly.
Microsoft LifeCam VX-3000 Pack fits the bill! December 7, 2008 L. Truong (East Bay Area, CA USA) Before buying this Microsoft webcam twin-pack, I was considering webcams made by Logitech. However, after reading all the reviews about this item, the Microsoft pack met my needs perfectly. I needed two webcams, one for my parents, and another for me. The audio and video quality was clear with very little choppiness, even with a basic DSL connection. I used it to chat with a cousin in Australia using Windows Live Messenger to test it, and my cousin commented that he could see and hear me clearly and loudly as if I was in the next room. The setup and installation process was definitely painless and speedy. Not bad, Bill!
Please look at the unit price!! December 5, 2008 J. Denhartog 1 out of 2 found this review helpful
You can get 2-pack for $80...or 2 individual ones for $27 each (just search for VX-3000). Please don't buy the "pack"...

Ordered this for my dad and when it came in the mail it only had one camera in the package. The camera that is suppose to be for a friend was not there. Called customer service and they were not helpfull!!!! They tried to tell me it was suppose to come with one camera. After 45 minutes they finally realized their mistake and said they were out of stock...ugh. I will be going somewhere else to get this product. I will not order another item from amazon.com!!!
