I bought this to go with the Intel Core 2 Duo E8400. It seemed like a good price for the 1333MHz FSB. After 3 days of messing with it I'm trying to get it exchanged for a replacement. I'm pretty sure this board was bad from the manufacturer because of the way its acting and because I took proper precautions to ground myself.
When I hooked everything up, the MSI slash screen would load and then ask me to hit Tab or Del for setup and neither key did anything. My first though was to try a different keyboard, but that didn't help. After some messing with it I found that if I held Tab while turning it on it would show a screen that showed my processor type and RAM, it would then tell me to press f11 to enter setup, but pressing f11 didn't do anything. I tried disconnecting different pieces thinking it might be trying to boot to the optical drive or the hard drive but disconnecting or reconnecting those items didn't change the problems it was having. It seems like it can't load the BIOS.
I'm trying to get this corrected through Amazon, but since I bought it was bought in October for a Christmas gift I'm not able to do an automated return. If I can't get it corrected through them then I'll contact the manufacturer. I'm giving it three stars because I'm confident that I'll be able to get this corrected and like the features. I'll update this review as things progress.
