On the plus side, you get 6 SATA ports and the ICH8R southbridge supports RAID and AHCI (hence the R designation in the model number).
I've been disappointed by a very slow POST and fuzzy video output. You can't expect perfect video out of a VGA port, but this board is especially bad. I got to compare it to the VGA out of a real graphics card while waiting on a DVI cable I ordered, and man, what a difference. The video out on this board is unusably blurry, making it look like your screen has been put through a blur filter in Photoshop when running at 1680x1050. This board is also very picky about RAM, only accepting 1.8v DDR2 DIMMs, so be careful when buying memory for it.
Bottom line, the features are okay, but the execution is terrible. A similar board from another vendor will likely serve you better. You can also find DVI out on the integrated graphics with newer chipsets. If RAID or AHCI (for hot-plugging drives, SATA NCQ) is important to you, find a board with an Intel southbridge with the model number ending in R.
